Mini song bio: The alien visitors in this case have left their own planet (some time ago, possibly a generation ship situation, as the first stanza indicates) fleeing an unspecified disaster.

They arrive at earth and are a just a bit disappointed, perhaps overly negative, about the fact we have pretty well irreversibly trashed the place already. The fellow filing the search report is maybe a bit cynical at this point.

On the other hand we didn't get invaded and handily conquered by a race that has technology capable of interstellar travel. Yay?
