I made it to the final of spintunes, which was a really nice surprise. This song certainly didn't turn out how I expected. When I first started writing this I wanted to do a 80s style synthwave song in the style of Michael Oakley and Ollie Wride. I originally had the idea of it being about friendship and using E.T. as an inspiration, I realised after a couple of days that this isn't supernatural, it's paranormal. So I went back to the drawing board, had bad idea after bad idea and just decided to write something about my wife and do a spin on the title and with a song about her super natural way.

I found the drone challenge hard to meet. I felt it didn't fit the song to have something quite harsh repeating. I ended up settling with long held out notes on the guitar and bass that repeated in the verses.
