The narrator is given out LBW, stumped, and run out at the non-strikers end (i.e. Mankaded…not cricket!) in this montage of batting frustration. This song was originally called “Owzat!”, which is how the fielding team appeals to the umpire to give the batter out. In the laws of cricket it is rendered “how is that,” but it’s usually pronounced AAAOOOOWWW!. Incidentally, confused Yanks can watch their own professional cricket league starting this July and see what all the fuss is about.
