Similar inspiration as my Round 1 entry, but less hamfisted, and meant to allow the listener to ascribe their own specific meaning to the theme. As a nonbeliever, one of the nicer ideas of the notion of the supernatural is a sense of karmic balance. That horrible people are pretty clearly not haunted is exhibit 5,000 against the idea of ghosts etc, and that's a real shame. I do feel there is something to the idea of "the best revenge is a life well-lived," especially when the wrongdoer will have, if not guilt, then the uncertainty of not knowing who knows what they've done, and that the aggrieved is out there telling their truth, haunting in their own way.
