I got some feedback that my round 1 submission was a bit short, so I've added a little more meat to this one! I don't frequently write in weird time signatures but I felt moved to do so this time - most of this song is in 5/4. My hope is it contributes a vague feeling of uneasiness and alienation to an otherwise pleasant song, which aligns well with the lyrical theme of capitalism corrupting the search for happiness and fulfillment.
