40 years and 40 hours gazing into hopeless double monitors
So I can pay my rent, eat and store
Away enough to pay for a vacation that my button up automaton friend refers
But where the hell did the Lights, Cameras, Action go?
Instead I’m reading yellow sticky squares til my brain explodes
Whose shoes did I put on when I woke up with the suits
And hopped a train, put a staple through my brain
Cos I need out of this place

I can’t play anymore
My voice requires me to get like 8 hours of sleep
But I gotta be up at 7:15
And I need a yellow sticky note to tell me
Where I need to be and who I am and
How to push through all these sheep
I spin around and stare at windows filled with other people
Wondering where all their hopes and dreams have gone die
So yay! I can pay for the urn that I’ll reside one day
