PigFarmer, Jr. - Who Are You?

about

Artist: Vanilla Ice

Song Bio:
Rap is as far as I could possibly get and have even a small chance of pulling it off. (I can't shred or growl for metal and I've done punk, Rock, hickabilly, bluegrass at least in some form or other.) I watched a few (entirely too many) Vanilla Ice videos and noticed that he often performs live with a live drummer, an MC spinning records and his rapping. In his videos he often has a bass line or other accompaniment. So I played the drums on my Alesis DM6 which has the record scratch sounds built in. I also added a synth bass line and a few other small details to fill out the track. This is the very first time I've ever tried to rap a rhyme. The subject matter is meta, but rappers often write dis tracks about criticism of their music. This is intended to have an element of humor in it while still retaining that element of bragging/defending one's reputation. For the record all of the judges, even the one mentioned, have been fair, imo.

lyrics

I signed up for spintunes fifteen
And I'm more than ready for spintunes sixteen
The judges don't seem to realize
I meet every challenge as advertised
I wrote a new song to play along
Gotta make it good or I won't stay long
Challenge after challenge I've undergone
And I'm still standing, I've not withdrawn

Who are you?
Who are you?
Who are you?
Who are you?

I'm still standing in the competition
Still dishing rhymes in this composition
I play the role, I pay the toll
I bare my soul to reach the goal
Still all the judges wanna rank me real low
Bury me deep, put me in a hole
Will I make it through? Well, nobody knows!
Gotta wait for the scores and who the judges chose

Who are you to judge my lines?
Who are you to judge my rhymes?
Who are you to judge my lines?
Who are you to judge my rhymes?

They rank me, they rate me, I'm misunderstood
They listen to my tunes. They say they're no good
But I don't care what they think about me
Or my rhyming philosophy
Strong rhymes, weak rhymes, near or far
It doesn't matter where they set the bar
Pigfarmer J is in the house
So they can all shut they're squeaky little mouths.
Sorry.
Not!

Who are you to judge my lines?
Who are you to judge my rhymes?
Who are you to judge my lines?
Who are you to judge my rhymes?

Now I"m not saying that I'm the best
I'm just saying that I pass the test
I admit my direction may seem haphazard
But my rhymes are fine, they ain't no disaster
There's a multi-million selling song
Using off rhymes so it can't be wrong
If you cry for my rhymes like Edric Haleen
You can wash off your tears with a bottle of saline

Who are you to judge my lines?
Who are you to judge my rhymes?
Who are you to judge my lines?
Who are you to judge my rhymes?
