Musically, I felt the slide guitar could add both the melancholy of looking back and the "rewind" feeling that was helped with some reverse drum loops. Lyrically, I set this letter up like a basic thesis, giving the three most important pieces of information to cover the field. The first message, the heart to heart of the chorus, is simply that things will get better. The second message found in the second verse, to take advantage of this rip in time, is to give a wise and timely stock tip. The third light-hearted message opens the song, that there's no harm in the "alone" time, which had kept me germ and baby free.

The fears, the stress, the loneliness,
The lack of friends but zit excess.

The hopelessness of a bad address,
the endless distress of no romance,

Stand up to the bullies no matter the size
'Tis better to be bloodied than terrorized.
