Bio: a song about the birth of the googly, or wrong’un. It looks like it will pitch in one direction but goes the other way. Puzzled Yanks may remember a commercial with Jerry Seinfeld where he exclaims “that was a wicked googly!” after a swing and miss. Its discovery is slightly conflated in my mind with Candy Cummings’ invention of the curve ball. Bernard Bosanquet must have known he hit on something special, at least by the time he took the great Victor Trumper’s wicket with it. But like all secret weapons (except Greek fire), it wasn’t secret for long. -Truth

Challenge: Glennny here, Truth and I are 49 and 51, we've been writing songs and recording since we were 15 and 17. This challenge was tough. What instrument have we never played before? What technique have we not tried in a recording? Was I going to try and sing a song about Cricket in Korean? The only Korean I know is from that Skankin Pickle song. So I was surfing Youtube as I do, and I stumbled on this video:

Message in a Bottle is a cover I've done for decades. I was fascinated to hear what this guy points out. The harmony is doubled on another track. I realized I'd never done that. I have done the Thin Lizzy / Allman Brother duel guitar "guitarmonies" many times, but this is new and different. So in this song, I double and sometimes triple guitar parts with harmonies lower in the mix. I played with panning of these throughout the song. Sometimes directly beneath, sometimes spread out.
