Oh brother...

Just so you all know, we are two brothers making music together. We both sing. Your ears didn't deceive you.

I (the brother writing these notes) landed my dream job last week! I never truly believed I'd be able to get it. For now, that comes with a 55-60 hour work week. That left us with a grand total of 8 hours to write, perform, and mix this song - spread across the 2 Sundays we had available.

This transition brought upon some self-evaluation and realization of a certain level of depression that I've been living with for years without conscious acknowledgement. I've always dreaded losing my music time. However, in losing the spare time to work on music, I've found a career that I'm actually passionate about.

The silver lining is bittersweet.

These weekly challenges are suddenly a lot more difficult, but that didn't mean giving up. It just meant I had to go from recording to mixdown in 3 hours.

So if the lyrics and song bio come across as self-indulgent, it's because they are. Sorry, I grew up on early 2000's emo. Egocentric hyperbole is in my blood.
