Steve and I have been banging around on guitars for several years, sitting on the deck after a long brew day (we like to make beer) or however we found ourselves the opportunity to play. Steve composes his own tunes in his spare time. As a novice I play to entertain myself mostly. We have talked about putting music together beyond backyard jam sessions for the longest time but never took the time and effort to create a song from beginning to end together. The SpinTunes contest provides an opportunity and challenge to create and follow through from blank paper to finished tune. “The Good, Bad, and Ugly of It All’ is our first complete song. The movie “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” to me is one of the best movies ever. The cinematography and music combine to make an absolutely stunning work of art. Our little ode was created to salute that art in our own little way.
