Stacking Theory - Something That Was Never There

For this challenge, I decided to learn about Crop Circles.

I thought I was going to learn about the origins, the people, and the places. But the thing that stuck with me was the idea of ostension, of 'bringing in to being', and how artefacts no matter how contrived, can provide weight and justification to our pre-existing and preconceived ideas and give life to our dreams and aspirations.

I ended up following this train of thought through mysticism, cryptids, and aliens, and into the realm of world views, politics, and personality cults.

Lyrically obtuse and intentionally vague, this songs hints all the way through at the warming comfort of confirmation bias….

I also learned about chord inversions, and used some in the electric piano track.
