This week the big "learning" for me was modulation. I've been a big fan of artists like Bill Wurtz who can effortlessly traverse key centers without alienating the listener. I've dabbled with that in the past - I love borrowing chords from other modes, for instance - but fully changing keys is not something I've really done before. This week I spent some time learning a bit more about how to really sell a key change! The result: my verses are in C, the chorus is in G, and the chords between them help smooth the transition.
