A close friend of mine just found out last week that she has cancer; she's 34 years old, and her first child was born just about 6 months ago. Her story is the inspiration for this song: the concept that you can go from feeling like you are an invincible super hero with all the time in the world in one moment, to facing the uncertainty of the reality of your situation head-on in the blink of an eye.
