Sober - O Sweet Death

My maternal grandmother passed a couple years ago. Dementia set in and took her relatively quickly. My mother was the only one of her children who had the employment freedom to spend a lot of time with her in the last couple weeks. Once, as I stood at the foot of her hospice bed, my grandmother looked at me and asked my mother "Is that the lord?" She was a true believer til the end. I suppose that's a nice thing to have in that moment.

As for the challenge: A couple new instruments and techniques here. The fretless is new. My technique is terrible, but I forced myself to play without tuning in post. I've had a lifelong love of violin, but I find it incredibly frustrating and physically painful to play. Apologies for the scratching, scraping mess. Stomps and claps were a fun recording and mixing exercise that I've never done in this way - the reverb is natural!
