I have a close relative who has recently finished his second round of rehab so the subject has been heavy on my mind these past couple of years. I've been over 20 months without a drink although I'm sure I'll have another some day. I purposely used "learn to fly" and "can't fly" with the intention of having two meanings in each iteration. One is to get high and the other is to be free/escape. And I also intentionally had a more *cough* sober *cough* chorus to reinforce the subject matter.
