After a couple of ideas, and a different, mostly written song, I ended up with this submission because it is the best song out of the bunch. The two unrelated subjects are, obviously, the pothole and the house. I think they work together in a satisfying way. The bridge is as close to a surprise as you'll get, ie., the reason for feeling like potholes and condemned buildings. Also, I broke a string on the banjo so no banjo for you.
