Notes for AFTER listening… I wrote this as kind of a puzzle so people would have to figure out, who is the protagonist? Otherwise, I would have named it “Rain” but I didn’t want to give it away… The first verse is the rain’s perspective during a drought (from a book I read called The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah about the Dustbowl era…) The second verse is during Noah and the flood… The last verse brings in the rain’s perspective of climate change and the bridge is the rain explaining all the they are important… ( the rain is slightly pompous and self-centered :)

As a fun aside, I’ve been trying to cumulatively include each challenge/prompt in each song, so this song has vertical space (falling down) and a few key changes ;)

It was a fun song to write. The entire song was written and produced from a bike (lyrics) or a riverboat in Spain while sending files back and forth to my collaborator Marci who was also out of town and working with headphones…. I’ve never pushed my laptop so hard or recorded vocals in a noisier space but I hope it’s ok. Thanks all!! BTW, I really love all the feedback and insight! SOOO helpful! Thanks again.
