Painter Samuel Morse finds himself in a post-apocolyptic quarantine situation. Inspired by loneliness and a thirst to dance, he invents a method of communication. What starts as a pattern of holes punched on paper, his code becomes audible by sending electromagnetic currents through needles - one made of ivory, the other metal - in order to signal the letters and spaces between them. His first message, "Let's Dance" has a built-in rhythm that infects Sam, and successfully transmits to the world. From California to Australia (the Southern Cross route), the dance code becomes Sam's legacy.
