Ted, here. Not much to say, really, The challenge was merciful to the musician, lots that could be done. But I give complete credit to my wife Erica for the idea. We were at a bowling alley watching our 4-year-old son bowl, and I told her: I have to make music about any color, but that’s so open… So she pointed at a dusty disco ball hanging at the back ceiling and said, “Do silver.” And I thought, freaking brilliant! Just our kind of thing. It was loads of fun.
