you'll have to forgive the harsh vocals (and the vst accordion, micah - i tried to do it justice!), ive become siege ubsessed and decided i wanted to try and make my own curta'n wall song.

oh boy the things i've learned - largely a bunch of failures trying to record acoustic drums. i got about this far and decided that i wasnt going to be able to produce anything useable with my practice kit in my garage with the equipment i have. what i ended up learning and actually using was a handful of new production techniques:
foley work to make samples - lots of homemade percussion samples in this one - clanking chains and barbells around in my garage.
recording acoustic guitar - it's pretty blended in for most of the song as the sound wasn't great but there is an acoustic guitar track in there
swing time rhythms - never messed with it before but its surprisingly easy in reaper
