Crazy Climber was a video game from 1980. It uniquely had 2 joysticks you would use to control each hand as you scaled a building whilst avoiding obstacles. Harry Loyd was a star of the silent film era. He had a film called “Safety Last”, in this film he climbs the outside of the building. It’s said that this inspired Nichibutsu in the design of the game. “Free Solo” is a 2018 documentary about a mountain climber that would climb mountains without safety gear. To fall would be fatal.
